Shoes are often times an essential piece that can either make or break an outfit. Keeping them looking like new is especially important for those dress to impress moments. Here are some general tips to keep your shoes looking their best for seasons to come >>>
Patent Leather
Patent leather shoes cannot use the same care procedures as leather shoes, because the surface material is not actually the same. The key component of patent leather is the lacquer that is applied to the surface. This lacquer can either be applied to real leather or a synthetic material that resembles leather, the results look almost the same. So unlike leather, which needs to be conditioned, polished and waxed, cleaning patent leather only involves cleaning the actual lacquer. Never try to polish patent leather shoes or use any other products that are specified for leather as that can seriously damage the appearance of your shoes. All it takes to care for your patent leather shoes is to wipe it with a damp cloth whenever it begins to look a bit dull. This should be followed by gently buffing the shoes with a nonabrasive cloth.
